KC METAL FIBER is short metal fiber made from round metal rod by the chattering vibration cutting method.
The fiber size can be produced in a wide range of sizes up to 30 ～ 100 μm in thickness and 1 ～ 10 mm in length.

SHORT METAL FIBRES USING SELF-EXCITED VIBRATION

This method uses a metal round bar as a raw material, and uses an elastic cutting tool to cut short fiber directly from the metal round bar while self-oscillating the cutting blade.
Unlike metal wire made by wire drawing and rolling, short metal fiber made by this method have a triangular columnar shape, so fit well when mixed with resin or refractory material, and have excellent bonding properties.
